It has crashed three times in the last hour. Each time as I was typing into my filename.r buffer.

It comes out of the blue and catches me unawares. The only thing that occurs to me is something similar to Rmpfr error discussed on R-sig-mac list about a week ago. I have been experiencing these crashes with 26.3 for a couple years.
