Hello all. For many years I've been happily using an

.Rnw --> Sweave --> pdflatex

worflow with emacs and ess. The alt-N s followed by alt-N shift-P is great.

I always meant to learn Rmarkdown and knitr, etc, but never got around
to it. And now it seems they are superseded by quarto? Perhaps it's time
for me to learn quarto and friends. But I have no interest in Rstudio. I
like my emacs! Can I write quarto source files, with text and R code,
in emacs and then easily compile them to pdf, html, and the other cool
things that are offered via knitr and Rstudio?

Also, any recommended online resources for learning quarto?

Thanks.
