Nice. I was going to ask about that :).
Cobbler's support for importing over NFS with "cobbler import ...
--available-as=nfs://" will also be able to leverage this to make things
more generic.
As it stands it does some weird things with the kickstart template so
there is an equivalent "url" line, so this will allow removing that code.
Will test this out and integrate shortly. Thanks!
