Gerald, could you please delay the new release for a few days please? I have stumbled upon a bug that causes ethereal to crash but have failed to find where the bug is during the last two nights searches.
It is related to the filter specified to tap listeners. I only get the bug to trigger when a filter is specified. I also only see the bug triggered for some of my captures but i think it may be related to captures containing SMB/DCERPC traffic (speculation) One of the captures creates a segv for -z rpc,rtt,100003,3,nfs but not when -z rpc,rtt,100003,3 is used. The captures in question do not contain any NFS traffic at all. can some people try -z rpc,rtt,100003,3,nfs as tethereal parameters? Both ethereal and tethereal craches. I have tried for some time to track it down but has not come any further than this and can not give an estimate on when the bug will be identified and fixed :-(
