Attached is a picture of the current quite well working version of the gui io-stat similar to the tehtereal -z io,stat,1,... thingy.
Please feel free to add it to the screenshots part of the webpage when the next version is released. Right now I am considering adding something to tethereal and ethereal that mimics the Traffic-Map display of other sniffers. For those unfamiliar with Traffic-Map/Matrix/whatever it is basically a window displaying a circle taking up the majority of the window size. At equidistant points around the circumference of this circle stations are placed (selectable between Ethernet, TokenRing, IP, ... ) and lines are drawn between the stations to indicate traffic and traffic quantity. The more traffic are between two stations, the higher the intensity and width of the line connecting them will be. Of course, since it will do this based on ethereal display-filter matching it will be more powerful and feature rich than anything else in any other tool. Anything less than that would be a failure. Not really too useful but there are some occasions where something like this is useful. (to be honest, mainly useful in what I call network-monitors and less so in protocol-analyzers)
