I prefer the modern UI, too.
The GTK1 / 2 question:
a) seperate GTK1 and GTK2 installers b) combined installer for GTK 1 and 2 c) ditch GTK1 completely
I prefer b) . However you can still build both a) and b) with my patch, but unfortunately not in one step.
I can modify the patch so you can still build a) in one step and choose between a) and b).
