Actually my situation is/was this - My external router is connected to my Firewall with a crossover cable (mostly for security) - I'd like to put a hub between them so I can attach a PC with Ethereal to do packet traces between the two devices. I've tried using a Linksys 5-Port auto-sensing hub (product # - EFAH05W), but apparently this is a switched hub and I can only see broadcast traffic on the segment.
