I suggest you ask Yahoo about that. > -ethereal tcp/ip analyzer (www.ethereal.com/ ) is not working There's very little we, the Ethereal developers, can, in general, do about problems that are reported as "Ethereal isn't working"; there are many, many ways in which it can "not work", so we'd have to know what it's doing *instead* of working. > When I was using AOL, I didn't have problems in using yahoo messanger, so > after thinking and eliminating some other possibilities, I think it may have > something to do with the JUNO connection program. If the Juno software includes code that plugs into the OS's networking stack, it's conceivable that it'd do that. I suggest you ask the Juno people about it. > Windump is not capturing anything either, nor any other > tcp/ip traffic captruring tools I could get my hands on. So when you say Ethereal "is not working", do you mean it doesn't capture packets? > When trying > "windump -d" > > I get: > > D:\windump.exe : listening on PPPMAC > <000> ret #96 > > > What does this mean ? It means you didn't hold down the shift key on your keyboard when typing the second "d" in "windump -d" - the flag to get a list of network interfaces and, for the special debugging version of windump, debugging information, is "-D", with a capital "D", not "-d".
