Thanks for the response, the card is a Linksys WPC55AG, Driver Version : 2.3.2.4 under Windows 2000 SP4.

In some sense, there's no support for capturing *anything* in Ethereal; it relies on libpcap/WinPcap, and the underlying OS mechanisms used by libpcap/WinPcap, to do all the capturing work - Ethereal merely processes the packets supplied to it by libpcap/WinPcap.
As such, the problem is probably one with your OS or with the drivers for your 802.11g card. What OS are you using, and what wireless card are you using?
