I'm using Windows XP and I have a problem when tyring to sniff traffic on my
modem. I choose the the \Device\NPF_Ndis\Wanlp interface and try to use my
modem connection to browse the web top generate some traffic but I cannot
see the internet anymore. As soon as I stop the capture, the internet works
again. When I look at the capture, there is ONLY outbound traffic.
Ethereal appears to block inbound traffic and therefore breaks my
connection.
I've tried WinPcap 2.3 and 3.0 and the problem persists, I'm using Ethereal
0.8.20
Ethereal works just fine for my Lan connection, just my modem that has the
problem.
Any ideas would be gratefully accepted.
Cheers
Jason
