Hello Armin,

You can compile the master with the option --enable-debug-if to get an readonly virtual network device to listen to the ethercat traffic via libpcap or wireshark.

You can use the generic driver with the option --enable-generic. Please note this driver is only useable under vanilla or preempt kernel.

If you use RTAI or Xenomai you need a native driver.

Which kernel version and nic driver do you need?

Regards

Andreas

Hello,

is there an interface to an ethernet device available which is based on the library "libpcap" ??
What about the UIO interface ??

Just to limit the dependency to the kernel versions ...

Regards
