Hello Beat,

nice to hear that you want to help with EtherCOS.

Actually the 0.0.2 branch is frozen but is possible to bug fix.
If you want to help i can grant you access to the reposity.

For actual development:
- I am rewriting Ethercos completely, because of some changes in concepts. - I am porting to Scilab 5.x but compatibility to Scicoslab is possible but it is further work

Actually I am very busy at work, so devellopment stands still.

Greatings

Andreas

Hi,

It seems as though you do not have any real time application running. etherlab_buddy opens one port starting from 2345 for every running real time application. rt_appcore is only the framework to allow these applications to run in real time.

Hi Richard,

OK .. this was not clear to me. I thought as I can access the modules directly
over TCP .. and if I need to also put a realtime module in between.
So now I have to create a realtime gateway.
I'll try to install ethercos with no success is there a newer Version around?
ScicosLab-4.4b7 is installed (Fedora 13)
ethercos-0.0.2-rc15]$ make
echo "execute builder.sce in scilab"
execute builder.sce in scilab
scilab -nw -nb -f builder.sce;

Scilab Version not supported
 warning: stack problem..., cleared

-->

Should this work? Or is there a known problem?

Beat

I see ... I only have to read the right documentation ..

******
The requirements for installing EtherCos from source code are the following:

    a - Scilab.

The new version of EtherCos only runs with Scilab 4.1.2 and
Scilab_GTK-4.1.2 and Scicoslab-4.3.
Your Scilab can be both a stable version (source, binary file).
      Get it from www.scilab.org

    b - Operating System
EtherCos has to be executed under Linux (until now only X86 is supported).
A running Kernel with HRT-Timer activated and the Preempt-RT patch
included is neccessary.
******

I would like to help .. if I can .. to get EtherCos working with ScicosLab-4.4b7
on Fedora 13 x86_64

Beat
