I am in the process of setting up and playing with the Yaskawa servo drive (sigma five), I plugged it into the master, good news is that it shows up as a slave, but I can't get it to do much more else.
Doing some goggling on the topic, I came across this thread http://lists.etherlab.org/pipermail/etherlab-users/2010/000939.html I get more or less the the exact error, as mentioned, being: " EtherCAT ERROR 0-0: Error on last command while reading from SII word 0x0080. " The post also mentions that with the newer firmware, this error does go away. " 2.) In addition, I just received another drive from Yaskawa and they have updated their firmware(3.01 now) and the SII content size error no longer occurs. This one is visible without the latest version. Hopefully now I can get this drive to servo motors with the etherlab master. I will keep you posted. " Will the drive work without the 3.01 upgrade? or is the error purely an annoyance? Generally speaking, if the slave configuration fails, is it possible to still use reg_pdo etc. to manually setup the pdo's or make sdo requests against the object dictionary (since those address are known through a paper specification)? cheers, -ravi -- C-x C-s, C-x C-c _______________________________________________ etherlab-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.etherlab.org/mailman/listinfo/etherlab-users
