I tried logging in as a user (not root) and running the same program again. This time the error is slightly different: "Failed to open /dev/EtherCAT0: Permission denied" 1) Does this shed any new light on my problem with network card vs. driver? 2) Is /dev/EtherCAT0 my network card? If not, what does it refer to? Thanks, Jeff
