Hi,

IgH EtherCAT Master is licensed under the GPLv2 license.
You do not have to pay a license, but your code must follow also the GPLv2 license, therefore you have to provide the full source code of your application.

If you want to sell an EtherCAT slave with the "EtherCAT" logo you have to register to the EtherCAT Technology Group. https://www.ethercat.org It is free, but you have to sign a contract to promise that you will respect the standard. In return you will get an official Vendor ID for your product.
