Hey Lucas,

you are using ubuntu, that is not using init anymore. Try to follow the steps
for systemd.

If the folder sysconfig does not exist, create it with mkdir.

Best regards
Michael

Betreff: [etherlab-users] Issue on installing Etherlab on Linux Ubuntu kernel
4.19

Hi,
I just followed the whole tutorial available at
(https://sourceforge.net/u/uecasm/etherlab-patches/ci/default/tree/) .
But after this, I went into INSTALL.txt instructions and got stuck at these
three lines:

# ln -s ${PREFIX}/etc/init.d/ethercat /etc/init.d/ethercat
# cp ${PREFIX}/etc/sysconfig/ethercat /etc/sysconfig/ethercat
# vi /etc/sysconfig/ethercat

After I did these steps, this error message appeared:
cp: cannot stat '/etc/sysconfig/ethercat': No such file or directory

How should procceed at these three lines part?

Thank you,

Lucas.
