Hello René, Thanks for you answer. Unfortunately, I modify netdev-4.19-ethercat.c file in the same way as Wilfried but system freeze again.
I'll try to run my program with an older kernel version 4.14 as Sebastien done. I hope it will work. I don't know how I can analyse this issue, I don't see anything wrong in dmesg Best regards Vincent BUSSIERES Responsable Technique Logiciel ZE Ma Campagne 36, Impasse Félix Nadar 16000 ANGOULEME Tel: 33 (0)9.72.40.35.08 www.hemeria-group.com Afin de contribuer au respect de l'environnement, merci de n'imprimer ce courriel qu'en cas de nécessité. My college Wilfried Holzke fixed this issue with some changes in the file netdev-4.9-ethercat.c. You can find the description of the changes here: http://lists.etherlab.org/pipermail/etherlab-users/2018-September/018624.html Hopefully this will fix your problem too. This is my configuration: - Debian 10 i386 with a custom kernel 4.14.155-rt70a - IgH EtherCAT Master + Gavin's patchset 20190904 https://sourceforge.net/u/uecasm/etherlab-patches/ci/default/tree/ - I use both ec_r8169 and ec_e1000e drivers and it works very well. Notes: - I use i386 kernel because I need a single kernel that is compatible with all the computers I have. - I cannot use a standard Debian kernel because I need also VME bridge drivers. - The latest Linux kernel version in Gavin's patchset that supports both ec_r8169 and ec_e1000e is 4.14. Therefore I cannot use a more recent kernel for the moment. - For ec_e1000e, I use "Intel Corporation 82574L Gigabit" Regards, -- Sebastien BLANCHET On 8/26/20 11:33 AM, BUSSIERES Vincent wrote: > I add, the I’m not using generic driver but e1000e driver. > > Best regards > > *Vincent BUSSIERES* -- Etherlab-users mailing list Etherlab-users@etherlab.org http://lists.etherlab.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/etherlab-users -- Etherlab-users mailing list Etherlab-users@etherlab.org http://lists.etherlab.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/etherlab-users -- Etherlab-users mailing list Etherlab-users@etherlab.org http://lists.etherlab.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/etherlab-users
