Note that to checkout, you need to use http://svn.gna.org/svn/etoile :

mkdir Etoile
cd Etoile
svn co http://svn.gna.org/svn/etoile/trunk/Etoile/ .

and I'm probably tired, because obviously as a developer you would not want the
public access :-) so..

svn co svn+ssh://[EMAIL PROTECTED] Etoile

is probably more what you want ! (replace "rio" by your gna account)
