Well, étoilé won't be frameworks-only, but I think it would be a shame
to *not* release the frameworks until we have some apps...

So, perhaps release Etoile Core 1.0, or Etoile Frameworks 1.0, or
whatever other name ? then we'll release Etoile Desktop 1.0 ;-)

Some of the frameworks are useful only for Desktop,
  like PreferenceKit and Camaelon.
I don't think we need to separate the frameworks and desktop.
  Just release whatever we have.
But I do suggest to release as 0.1 instead of 1.0.
We are still far from 1.0.
By the way, I would like to add SQLite client in the release list.

Yes, I think Étoilé 0.1 (code name : "Whatever we have" ;-) could consist only of frameworks, bundles and developer examples, eventually we could include some Preferences applications skeletons, based on scheme described here : <http://www.dromasoftware.com/etoile/ mediawiki/index.php? title=Services_Suite#Preferences_related_Services> but that would involve UI discussions and experiments which may delay the release further.

To summarize…
Frameworks :
- LuceneKit
- OgreKit
- PreferencesKit
- UnitKit (ideally coupled with /Services/Developer/UnitTests which should relocated in /Developer/Services/UnitTests as discussed before)

Bundles :
- Camaelon
- SQLiteClient

Developer examples :
- LuceneExample
- PreferencesKitExample

For release we will need unified templates for README, INSTALL etc. documents, and some documentation on how to build Étoilé in one pass (we have no configuration system currently). We should probably put on the wiki a list for tested platforms too.

Quentin.
