Hi,

Why does some frameworks install into /System? For example, the
ServicesBar kit?

That's an error on my side, they should install in /System/Library/
Libraries and not /System. I will fix it.

I meant: why in /System/whatever instead of /Local/whatever?

Well because it is a mandatory part of Étoilé, Étoilé wouldn't be usable without it. Everything we put in /Local should be removable by the user without breaking GNUstep or Étoilé. I know we still need to determine precisely what parts are mandatory in order to have Étoilé usable.

Then everything from etoile should be installed in /System. There are
parts that are installed in default location (/Local) and others that
are installed in /System.

In the case of Etoile, I agree with this.../System should be considered the "don't fuck with this" part of Etoile/GNUstep.
