Hi,
My post about a roadmap was indeed very focused on the technologies
behind the scene..
... so we should perhaps try to explain more what will be in front for
the user :-)
What I would like is a desktop with applications doing one job,
cooperating using services.
Roles would be there to easily choose your applications, etc.
Databases like adresses/bookmark/calendar would be shared among
applications
"Network tools" : I want to be able to drag'n drop something on the
icon of a friend and to send it (if multiple sending methods, be
prompted); I want to have an easy way of setting a "shared shelf"
(probably using jabber and publish/subscribe) where I can just put
things, and people (on my jabber list, at least) can grab them;
On the desktop side, I guess I would be happy with a shelf ala openstep
4, and a nextstep-like finder.
But I wouldn't mind having interesting features -- leaves notes on the
desk, something like piles, "seeing through a folder" (showing the
content of the directory directly while keeping things in it), etc.
And of course I want good documentation and online help ;-)
