Hi David, Awesome, welcome to the project! :-)

So I've > had to resort to introductory mails! That sucks. SILC is a pain because there are only a couple of working clients (the official text-based one, and pidgin, only on some platforms). > Anyway, is the project alive? > What're the priorities? If I were to muck right in, say, an hour or > two on a Saturday, where would I start? Yes, it's alive. The last year has but been a bit slow, we're making progress. We have a roadmap, which is up-to-date: http://etoileos.com/dev/roadmap/ The roadmap is probably the best guide to what the current priorities are. There's also an open projects list, which is out-of-date (a lot of the projects are already started, or low priority). The roadmap is probably a better reference. http://etoileos.com/dev/projects/ As for what to work on in a few spare hours, I'm not sure what the best thing would be. Is there anything on the roadmap that sounds especially interesting? > I could theoretically dabble in a bit of anything. Programming, > development, design, architecture. Probably best to start with the > former though, lest I mess things up. That's great. We need help in all these areas, I think, especially programming but also UI design. If you want to play with some UI design ideas, there were some discussions last year here that may be interesting: https://mail.gna.org/public/etoile-discuss/2009-05/threads.html Also, here are some mockups from a few years ago: http://etoileos.com/etoile/mockups/jesse-2007/ > Kind regards > > David Cheers, Eric _______________________________________________ Etoile-dev mailing list Etoile-dev@gna.org https://mail.gna.org/listinfo/etoile-dev
