I can't reproduce this, and looking at the logic in the clang driver, I can't see how it would be the case. Please can you confirm your exact command line and clang version? If -fobjc-runtime=gnustep-1.7 is not enough to make ARC work (it is for me on all of the platforms that I've tried) then we have a bug in clang that I need to fix.
