Hi everyone, Just to let you know I updated the website for the Git switch:
- Download page: http://etoileos.com/downloads/ (now explains how to check out the repositories with Github) - Trunk install page: http://etoileos.com/downloads/installtrunk/ (now covers the last requirements and takes in account the Git switch) It would be nice if someone could update the FreeBSD specific notes: http://etoileos.com/downloads/installtrunk/freebsd/ - Contact page: http://etoileos.com/contact/ (now mentions the lists we use currently) I also set up Github commit notifications for all the repositories, plus a new list on which the notifications are posted: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/etoile-commits I tried to reuse the existing etoile-cvs list on GNA for this purpose, but this list doesn't accept mails that don't originate from the GNA servers. I also tried to set up a new list on GNA, but it seems the Github mail notifications are detected as spam by the GNA. So I posted a bug report to on the GNA bug tracker, and I haven't got a reply yet: http://gna.org/support/?3141 In the end, I created this google group mentioned above (you can subscribe to it as a list, or just check it directly on the web). - Developer section: http://etoileos.com/dev/ (mentions Github to report bugs and submit patches, instead of the GNA trackers) In addition, I cleaned the Roadmap and Open projects pages. I mostly removed all the things previously done or outdated. For the Coding Style page, I removed the ChangeLog section, and updated the Project Hierarchy Style section to reflect our current practices. As a side note, I fixed various outdated SILC links. There is still a SILC mention in the pink elephant image on the front page, we should correct this at some point. -- For Github, I added a short summary for several important repositories, feel free to change them if they don't feel accurate. The Build scripts can now check out and build the Étoilé aggregate repository: https://github.com/etoile/BuildScripts Thanks to Eric, you can now specify 'packaged' for LLVM_VERSION in the build profile, rather than building LLVM/Clang source code (either releases or repository). I'm now running test builds again for Ubuntu 10.4 x86-32 (this was disabled when migrating to Github), using LLVM/Clang 3.3 + libobjc2 trunk + GNUstep trunk. Build failures are reported to the testbuild list. For CoreObject, EtoileFoundation and UnitKit on Mac OS X, Eric has set up Travis test builds. For example, see https://travis-ci.org/etoile/CoreObject/builds Travis test build failures are reported to the testbuild list too. -- If you commit to the website, and want to see the result immediately you can visit: http://etoileos.com/updatesvn.php I tweaked this php script to print the SVN update output in the window, so if something is wrong (e.g. the SVN working of the website is locked on the server), we can easily know. Cheers, Quentin. _______________________________________________ Etoile-dev mailing list Etoile-dev@gna.org https://mail.gna.org/listinfo/etoile-dev
