An annoying thing about the all-in-one solution is when the panels are not all 
the same size.  In that case, you either need to:
- resize the window every time a different panel is chosen (annoying)
- put scroll bars in the window (ugly and annoying)
- size the window to the largest panel (ugly, waste of space)

Other than that, I'm mostly indifferent.
