Yesterday, I was looking at the project gswebkit (I even manage to compile it) and I've found an interesting framework named URLloading reproducing the interface of URLloadingSystem by apple ( http://developer.apple.com/documentation/Cocoa/Conceptual/URLLoadingSystem/URLLoadingSystem.html). It is based on Curl and Cares (dns query) and seemed to works well. Do you plan to integrate this kind of project in étoilé ? Beside this project (gswebkit) is abandonned since 2004...
