While at FOSDEM, I met a developer from Nokia who is interested in
getting GNUstep and Etoile on their tablet devices. He wants to
explore alternate interface paradigms, as he feels that we shouldn't
be using the standard desktop metaphor on these devices (which I'm
sure most of us can agree with).
So, that said, I want to propose some interface ideas for him to
explore. Preferably ones that would be easy to implement using
GNUstep or that would fit in with the overall Etoile vision. We
probably would like to look at the Newton for some inspiration, but
any other ideas of things you would like to see in a modern tablet
would certainly be welcome.
I'm hoping to get him a list of ideas by Friday.
