Could you elaborate?
$version would be the number representing the current version of Etoile. So, when 0.3 is released, /etoile will redirect to /etoile/ 0.3. When 0.4 comes out, we redirect /etoile to /etoile/0.4. This allows us to keep old versions available for users of those systems or the curious. Think of it like tagging version branches in SVN. >> - Download /download -> /etoile/$version/download >> (should also provide a link to /more) > > I presume this will be a little wrapper around the download.gna.org/ > etoile stuff? Right -- something in the style of our site that links directly to the tarball or zip or iso whatever hosted on GNA. >> - Features /features -> /etoile/$version/features > > I'm not sure why this is separate from /Etoile. I saw /etoile as an overview about the project, and /features as a more indepth detailing of specific technologies. So, for example, / etoile would discuss the overall ideas (versioning, collaboration, projects), and /features would provide subdirectories for things like CoreObject, Camaelon and Azalea. >> - Support /support (contact, bug submission, etc) > > Yup. > >> - Get More /more (apps, add-ons, etc) > > I'm not completely sure what goes here. This is a bit of future-planning. I was planning on using this for providing links to 3rd party developments: applications, components, themes, wallpaper, etc. Stuff that's not hosted in our repository but that users may be interested in. We probably don't need much of it now, but if we want to build a community we need to provide easy access to stuff like this. Two things that might be useful there immediately would be the GNOME Nesedah theme and a link to GNUMail, for example. >> - For Developers /dev -> dev.etoile-project.org >> - Getting Started dev.etoile-project.org/start >> - Installation dev.etoile-project.org/install > > These two are definitely needed. Yeah -- we definitely need a little status widget on the home page, perhaps just providing the text and datetime of the latest check-in. I see that going to a more in-depth page, which would basically just be a full feed of the CIA page, and then a link to CIA. >> ( -> represents a redirect) > > A lot of the exact URLs will be defined by how we implement it in the > end. I'd actually prefer if users never got redirected to GNA, but rather stayed on our site and just downloaded content from GNA. I think casual users may be scared off by the "Can't verify the identity of gna.org" warning that pops up when you first access GNA's site. >> Please let me know if there is anything I'm missing.
