I am more interested in the underlying image processing stuff which can be reused if needed, like crop, brightness correction, filtering, etc. Even if CoreObject is ready, it still need such implementation. That's pretty much all the reasons I port this and that and am picky on the license. Same reason applies to NewsStand. The RSS retrieving and processing part is the main reason I port it, plus some other minor stuffs. UI is the least thing I am worry becaues it will be rewritten later when other Etoile components are ready (CoreObject, Container, etc). I have to say the code of ToyViewer is not that pretty. The image processing part in Imlib2 seems better and more focused, but it does not offer as many filter as ToyViewer by default. And it takes effort to have imlib2 work with NSImage. So I am hesitated to work on that.
