Hi Jesse,

I just downloaded the latest GNustep/Etoile Sources to give a try
to recent changes. When the application is active the background of
the window becomes white.

This looks rather ugly!? Is this a temporary hack (try and see) or
is this supposed to stay like this? How can I prevent this? Is
there a switch somewhere or a default to suppress this behaviour?

This is probably due to the latest changes to Camaelon to support the
new Narcissus theme. If so, perhaps Günther can take a look, if he's
still willing to play with Camaelon.

Oh, thanks for the hint. I didn't know there was a new theme. I tried that out and found that the background color is changed from some light gray to a darker gray when the application/window is activated.

This is too dark for my taste. It does not really fit with the shiny new popup look and feel IMHO. Any we have the same problem with the NSTableView headers here. By the way, we should use

  _intercellSpacing = NSMakeSize (5.0, 2.0);

in NSTableView.m like in gui to separate the columns some more.

Regards,

  Andreas
