Just to say that there seems to be little progress on the documentation for the BOM format from Apple; I initially made up a kind of BOM by extracting some useful info and putting it in a file, one line per file, but XAR (http://code.google.com/p/xar/) seems to be much more adequate.I have heard some rumours that Applcould even use it as a future BOM format, but even if it doesn't XAR looks interesting.
