Hello. Not sure if this is the right place for my question but here we go!
I wanted to save some time and just did a apt-get install gnustep
gnustep-devel ect. Then apt-get all the other dep. that etoile needed,
compiled it and BAM sudo make install : permission denied. So I looked
around and I found out that ubuntu installs gnustep in a very different way:
programs in /usr/bin instead of /usr/GNUstep/Applications and other stuff.
I compiled some other things I wanted to tryout like simplewebkit and still:
permission denied when make install.
So, ubuntuized gnustep don't work with other than ubuntustep packages.! :(
I think some of you developers of Etoile use(d) Ubuntu (read it in the
etoileblogs) do you know a workaround for this? Do I have to uninstall
everything Gnustep related and compile from source? (hope I dont! Like my
setup)
