Hi Justin, Hm.. I'm not sure what the problem is; I haven't seen any errors like that.
The only requirements should be using fairly new VirtualBox version (I think I made the image with VBox 3.0), and importing it with File- >Import Appliance. I am using VBox 3.0.6 on OS X 10.6, and the image worked for me recently. What host OS / VirtualBox version do you have? Sorry I don't have any better ideas right now..
