For me personally, I never had a B&P talk longer than 2 weeks to get back to
me from the time that I sent out my package..usually within a week and a
half. Any that have taken longer have been with people who have told me
before I sent anything out that they were busy at that time and that it might
take an extra week or 2 to get to me, which is fine by me, or anyone working
on a b&p for me that found themselves taking longer than 2 weeks to get the
discs back to me has let me know that it was going to take some more time.
Something else that might be taken into consideration is whether the
you went out and sought the b&p's, or whether they were offered up.
Sometimes when you ask for them, it may take a little longer b/c the person
is making time in there schedule for you. If its offered up then the person
may already have stuff setup and ready to go and just waiting on your discs.
Last thing (I promise) Even though you may think that you have sent
out everything perfect such as the postage, correct discs, note with what you
are asking for, and your E-Mail address in case of any problems, there might
have been a small mistake. Some b&pers will not take the time to even get
back to you if you have messed up any of the above, and not send the discs
back, especially if you used the wrong postage/sent money/or forgot to put
postage on your return package.
I'm not speaking for everyone, just from my personal experience, and
that of a few close friends...I don't know what is considered the
"appropriate" time to wait, but all I can suggest is to send the B&Per's a
KIND email letting them know that you sent the discs, and just checking to
make sure that they recieved them, and that everything was done correctly,
and remind them off who you are, and what show it was that they were burning
for you. If you take the approach of wtf, I send out my stuff a month ago
..etc...You'll probably not hear from them again....
Just remember everyone is human, we make mistakes, forget, misplace things,
and usually have way too many things on our minds :)
