I see part of the problem with the isos of non-friendly bands is more or less a lack of presented information. When I first joined etree almost a year ago, it took me a long time to find where to sign up, and even longer to figure out what was allowed. There is also a lack of information that the mods have (the recent flare about the Black Crowes not being taper friendly is rather amusing/embarrasing), and finally the new people who are signing up. Its one thing to be extremely anal about something, but atleast be RIGHT about it first. When its something that etree takes a lot of pride in, it isnt well publicised what is allowed where and when. I'd suggest putting a link next to the sign up requirements before filtering is done. Restricting the list will send the message of "these are the ONLY bands that we see as taper friendly and therefore this is all we are allowing you to talk about" and not "we welcome discussions about bands which are taper friendly". By restriction, you rule out all of the little local bands which could *and a lot of the time do* allow taping, which is how a lot of the big bands we know now got started, kinda like killing the entire grass roots theory. On a personal note, i really dont care, i'm more active on the shn lists which are more tuned to my interest, even if they arent taper friendly, just thought I'd point out a possible solution.
WOB: I'll take 15 people (10 of those being digesters, since thats what I am) for B+Ps for *among other shows which are rarely seen* Page and Plant 02/28/95. (Before some mod gets upset about this, do the research, they even had a taper section on the 95, 96, and 98 tours....) ;-p G.Page db.etree.org/saitoh _______________________________________________ etree.org etrade mailing list <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> http://mail.etree.org/mailman/listinfo/etrade Need help?
