Hey all,

Came up with a kooky idea, wanted to see if there
were any takers.

I'm looking to set up a friendly fantasy baseball
league to help promote some trading here's my idea.

I've done Fantasy baseball a couple of years now, and
in my opinion, ESPN Fantasy baseball is the best.
There are free YAHOO leagues, but I haven't been happy
with their service. The $29.95 registration fee for
ESPN is steep, but I think well worth it for a year of
fantasy baseball.

Here's my plan. Set up a head to head league. Each
week, your team squares off against another team in
the league in 10 different categories (pitching and
offense). Whoever wins more categories in their match
up is sent a show of their choice by the person who
looses to them. We can do an 8, 10 or 12 person
league, so there will be 4, 5, or 6 winners a week.
If it's a 5-5 tie, the two teams can do a trade or
send nothing at all.

Not too baseball savy? Then you'll be happy to see
the espn staff has some pretty good pre-rankings of
players to help you along, and the great thing about
baseball (that I've noticed is replicated in fantasy
baseball) is that even the worst team has a chance to
beat the best in one match up (whether it be one game
in real life or one week in fantasy league).

To start off, I suggest we do the league until the
All-Star game (early July-- that's about 12 weeks of
play) and then at that time decide if we wanna
continue for the rest of the year.

Added incentive: I was going to suggest that whoever
is winning at the break be sent a show by every person
in the league, but I think it would be better if every
other person sent a show to the person in last place
instead. Theoretically that person has been sending
out more shows than the others, so they should get
something in return.

Check out espn fantasy baseball sight and if anyone's
interested, drop me a line.

I was hoping to do a live draft Tuesday evening (april
9), and then begin play the following week.
