Actually, and I also mean this in a friendly manner, according to the FAQ it 
is NOT on topic since it obviously falls under "other options for 
transferring files." I like Furthur and use it and am not concerned with 
it's discussion on the list, but I just wanted to point out the statement in 
the FAQ, pasted below, which is current policy.

2. Why does etree.org use mailinglists and FTPs?

The current system of mailinglists and ftps works. There are other options 
for transfering files (gnutella, irc, aim), but these distribution methods 
are not to be discussed on the general
etree.org mailing list. A web-based system for tracking ftp sites is often 
suggested, but the mailing list method is what we use, and will continue to 
use.
