Goodmorning Etree'rs, I need some assistance in getting my server back up, I have a P4, Win2K, on a Linksys router, using the downloaded Serv-U pro demo (downloaded yesterday so I have 29 days left on it), I've used the whatsmyip site to get my ip, and I've had people try to hook up, but they come back as no connection, so either its the wrong ip or ??????? who knows, a little background, I had my server up for about a year then last november it fried, so now its a bigger faster machine, and thought hey, I didn't change communications only pc, plugging it in may work, but not that easy........I know the first time, I had to mess with the router programing or thats where I got my actual server IP, but I guess old age makes me forget what me and Doc did, a friend who helped get it up the first time, and this was around 2 in the morning if I remember right.............thanks dan
