I have recently received an offer from Sprint for their new "Ultra Fast DSL" service which promises 8 megabit downloads and 1 megabit uploads over twisted pair. While the service is not cheap (best at $160/mo with a 2 yr contract), it comes with 6 static IP addys and thus may be perfect for running a server. An additional 8 static addys can be had for a nominal monthly fee.
As I have an extra PC and nearly 90 gigs of shows, I have been looking for an ISP that will provide more than 128k up in order to put a server on line and thus am wondering if anyone has this service, has heard of it, etc. This would be a big financial commitment if the service craps out or the like. I appreciate any and all feedback from the community. Ira WOB: Five B&Ps for Pink Floyd 6-28-75 (thanks to Steve Blanchard from whom I recently received it). Winners to be notified directly. _______________________________________________ etree.org etree mailing list <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> http://mail.etree.org/mailman/listinfo/etree Need help?
