If you're running the etree script, then you have to run it from the
directory you want the wav to end up in. If you do it from the directory
which the shns are in, then the wavs will replace the shns. Obviously if
you run it from a read only directory (ie /mnt/cdrom), then you're going to
get errors. I have a specific directory that I store disc images in (which
xcdroast looks for). So I change to that directory and type: unshn
/path/to/shns/*d1 (for the first disc of a show)

The wavs then appear in that directory, and when I fire up xcdroast,
basically its about three clicks and I'm burning.

Obviously you need to have the unshn script in your path. I put it in
/usr/local/bin.

Regards

Matt

Subject: [etree] help with unshn for linux

                Hello Everyone,

Im trying to create wavs from shns archived on cds. I tried
to use unshn
but it always tries to write to the same directory that im
decompressing the
shns from (the cd). I tried specifing directories but this
did not help.
There is no manual i could find for this to say what
commands to use to
specify a different output directory. Thanks in advance for
you help.

                -Mike
