David,

Far too simple and logical of an idea to carry much weight here. My honest
opinion is that these questions are the very idea behind this list. There's
one for announced l/p 's and one for trades and one that is for music and
computer questions. It's called uh . . . discussions. The flames are
definately entertaining, the dicussions lively and informative, plus there's
a constant supply of BnP's too keep ones attention. As someone who
considers himself one step above the newbie stage, I constantly scour the
list and try to help where I can.

Some people have more patience than others. Some people get flamed for
asking a question and think that's how we do it around here, and inturn
flame the next person they can find. Some people just put on their asbestos
underwear and head into the firestorm, vowing not to grow up to be a flamer.

My preconception of you guys on this list in cyberland is of the guy in the
parking lot dancing around holding t-shirts shouting "beautiful tiedye's"
and whispering "killer hits" in the ears of anyone that looks to be in the
know. That's stereotype was blown away long ago. I've never met a more
anal bunch in my life. I mean that with more respect than you realize.
I've learned that a collection should be built to last. I've learned the
preperation necessary to insure it's longevity. I've learned ettiquette.
But it's taken me a while. But hey I do it for the music, plain and simple.
To all of you newbies, listen watch, read and learn. There are people here
who have not only the music you desire but the knowledge required to make it
last longer than bob dole on viagra. I recomend figuring out the BnP rules
first and ask politely to get into them for awhile and read . . . read . . .
read all the posts here for a couple of weeks min before jumping in.

"I'd rather sit in silence and be thought a fool than open my mouth and
prove it." I think Mark Twain said that. It should be on the top of the
FAQs.

Sorry this is so long. You may comence flaming^^^^<>^^^^
