i joined this list three times and unsubscribed in fear and disgust before finally realizing that i was going to have to play along in order to get the great tunes, which is a decision i will never regret. the fact of the matter is, this list has a long standing tradition of being just plain horrible to our newbies. my first post was an ISO for my favorite phish show (ph93-08-13 in case you wanted to know). within five minutes i got my answer in the form of this: "DON'T WRITE 'IN SEARCH OF', WRITE ISO!! TRIM YOUR POST, STUPID!" or "WHY DON'T YOU LOOK ON DB.ETREE.ORG?!?!" or THE NAMING CONVENTION STATES THAT THE NAME OF THIS SHOW SHOULD BE PH93-08-13.
to be honest, i would much rather take that kind of nit-picky crap than the stuff that is going on now. now, if you ask a question you get called every name in the book and then some. i love this list but hate it too because IT TURNS ME INTO A BAD PERSON TOO. when i offer a login, and somebody who asks doesn't get one and thus sends me an email along the lines of "SUCK MY DICK BITCH" (yes i have heard this one MORE than once), it really turns you into a bitter person. perhaps it's just part of being the lone girl in a sea of about a thousand guys, some of whom are 16 and so pumped full of hormones that you can almost excuse their outrageous behavior, but anyway, i stay off this list for the most part these days. i only come in to clean out my inbox, read the moronic flames clogging it up and occasionally comment on one. i wish people could just learn to respect each other but obviously respect for your fellow humans has fallen way down on the list of priorities for a lot of people on this list, who know who they are. those who love this list and are supportive of the members know who they are too. but me, i'm on extended hiatus too. i'll be back when phish is. :) love, etreegirl ===== http://db.etree.org/shmonay Yahoo!
