On the bottom of the application in the status bar you should see one 
of the items is "Track at Once", double click this to change it 
to "Disk at Once". Additionally, you can click on record, then when the 
record window pops up, click on Options in the lower right hand part of 
the window. This will expand the window revealing the DAO option.
