I say "shin" because it is easier for me to say than shorten.  Just like
when I refer to WAV files I call them "waves" , not Waveform sound formats
.... that is a moutful right?  But that is the proper name right, hence the
proper pronunciation!?!?! ;O)

    But for some reason when I am looking on the net for .mpegs, instead of
calling them "M-Pegz" I still refer to them as Motion Pictures Expert Group
files. ha.
