I use Samrt FTP as a download client and I find it (1.o build 963) to
be very reliable. I use the global queue without destination for all
of my ftp shorten file downloads. Just select the destination folder
when I have room to download shows and that moves them to the active
queue. I had problems with some of the older versions hammering
servers despite my settings and other transfer problems. The version
I am running runs very well on my Win98SE, 900 MHz Athalon, 256 MB
RAM. I am using version 1.0 Build 963. This version also allows you
to modify server information such as login and password once the file
is already in the queue. Never used the log to track where a show
came from.

Are broken transfers common with FTP software or is it just Smart FTP?
I don't recall ever making a complete download w/o having to log back
in
numerous times. Sometimes there are so many breaks I just give up.
