Hi all; I think some clarification on this issue is needed. If you have the previously circulating AUD or SBD of a show that's become a Dick's Picks, these are still tradable under the wording of the statement GDM issued regarding digital trading of their music. Phish's statement is the one that specifies the entire date is off limits. GDM reaffirmed this in response to a query from someone in the GDH-Trading Yahoo group about a year ago- I know some of us lurk in both groups, so you may remember this. The response was basically that copies of the Dick's Picks CD's were not allowed, but that the previously circulating sources were still OK to trade. That being said, I think you'd be better off, and more ethical to boot, to go out and buy them. The shows are cleaned up and sound a lot better after the Dick's treatment- why not have the best available? I also think these shows should not be mentioned on etree.org lists. They are now technically released material and should face the same standards as other released material-Not Here. If you wanna flame me over any of this, take it offlist and don't cc it to the list either. I'm tired of digests full of fighting over stupid, rehashed threads. Dave terrapinstation.dynip.com
