Putting a fadein at the beginning of a disc that isn't the start of a set makes it NOT raw.
There was some thread about this a while back...it is best to only have fades at the beginning and ending of sets (best leave that to the tapers/seeders) Why, you ask ? Because a year or two from now, when DVD burners and blanks are more common, you will be able to put a whole show (and more) onto one DVD...But NOT from your "adjusted" source because now there will be a fade out and in somewhere between 70 and 80 minutes where there was none on the original DAT source...and where would be none from shns/wavs that didn't have disc-end fades applied. If you aren't seeding it (which you are not), then it is probably not a good idea to be making after-the-fact edits like that and circulating them. At least not in this forum, IMHO. Removing pops/clicks and other artifacts like that are a different story... For those that care, I'm sure that this source is circulating in a non-adjusted format...and I could probably point you in the direction to get ahold of them (or I could get off of my lazy ass and transfer my fobs). I do commend you on notifying everyone about your "adjustments"...although my guess would be the reason is because you think the adjustments make them a better source..... Wherever he goes, the people all complain... I did a trade for it and had to make some adjustments and reburn. The show is intact and sounds great. Src : MBHO 603s > GP DMIC-20 > DA-P1 Adjustments I made: 1) Deleted last 15 or 20 minutes on D2 as it was repeated on D3 2) Fade ins and outs at beginning of discs and at set break 3) 3 db level boost all around So in other words, this discs are "raw" but everything is there. All you have to do is send me a SASE. No discs. Look out for the 12/28/01 and 12/31/01 in the coming weeks. I'll take the first request. Ready, GO!
