Hi,

I recently got mutt/sendmail/fetchmail all working. It's kind of nice to have a
"light" program
to do email with, even if you lose some of the niceties like reading HTML email. So I
think I may
keep this configuration for a while.

I was wondering:

While it's probably very unlikely to be abused since I'm on a dialup, how can I
protect my
sendmail from being a relay for spammers? Or how can I check if it's open or not? I
looked at
/etc/inetd.conf and the only line uncommented is

auth stream tcp nowait nobody /usr/sbin/in.identd in.identd -i -e

Now I just have to figure out procmail. :)
