Transport Logic changed mail servers and make some DNS changes on
Dec 28, 1999. As a result, I lost access to my mail.
Moreover, I was very very busy with clients needing new networks and
custom software for Y2K; so I didn't have time to resolve the problem
until today.

As a result:

    (1) I have many many unanswered postings sent to me.
(I will try to go thru these and answer them as I get time,
but this will take a while and I know I won't be able to respond
          to all of them.)

    (2) Because of the DNS problems, I got unsubscribed from
[EMAIL PROTECTED] on about Jan 3, 2000.
As a result of this, my postings to PLUG haven't gotten posted.
One of these was very important. I will repost it shortly.

Finally, a number of people were asking about the same issues.
I will address these issues now instead of responding personally.

ABOUT Transport Logic and [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Yes, I have had problems because of changes at Transport Logic.
Other Transport Logic users probably have as well.
If you know anyone affect, please let them know that they need
      to resubscribe to [EMAIL PROTECTED]

ABOUT the Portland Linux/Unix Group
The Portland Linux/Unix Group (PLUG) is a user group devoted to
Linux, other Unix OSs, and Open Source Software in general.
Will take a generous view of this. So, we also include proprietary
software the runs in general open environments.
The group does exist and is actually quite active.
We have a less than active web page at http://plug.northwest.com
We have monthly meetings at 7 PM at Portland State University on
the first Thursday of the month. Attendance runs about 50-70.
We have monthly hands-on clinics every third Saturday.
We give talks at conferences and have other events from time to
      time.
We also work with other Linux groups such as Biznix in
Tigard/Beaverton, Mid-Willamette Valley Linux Group in
Corvallis/Albany, and the Eugene Linux Users Group.
(Oh yes, the PLUG mailing list and meetings and everything else
is free of charge. So, is MWVLUG and ELUG.)

                                          Sincerely,
                                          David Mandel
