Yes-- it makes the linux box look like an NT box in the 'hood.  The 
main differences you'll see is that it won't drop off the network, 
especially if your network has multiple subnets, and it's about 50% 
faster than an NT box.  That is, assuming you're using an NT box 
as a WINS server, that the WINS server doesn't go belly-up. ;)

There's one out there, I forgot the name, and it cost a coupla
